Recently, the main structure of the Saudi Aramco Stadium Project, processed, manufactured, and pre-assembled by CXHI, has been officially shipped. This marks the successful completion of fabrication and shipment tasks for the project's outer compression ring, roof, and petal structures.
The Aramco Stadium in Al Khobar not only serves as the venue for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup and the 2034 FIFA World Cup, but also stands as one of the most ambitious projects of its kind globally. By laying the foundation for Saudi Arabia's vision to transform Al Khobar into a world-class sports destination, this landmark structure has attracted worldwide attention since its launch.
The entire project features an elliptical roof space frame structure, with CXHI's scope encompassing the outer compression ring, roof, and petal structures. Notably, the outer compression ring, constructed as a steel tubular truss structure comprising 14 segments, represents the primary technical challenge in the project's execution.The heaviest single segment exceeds 380 metric tons, with the total assembly weight reaching 4,000 metric tons, all fabricated to AWS standards.
These colossal and intricate structural components represent not only a pivotal phase in the manufacturing process but also a convergence of technical challenges and complex engineering demands.
